Peoria, IL – A business burglary on the north side of Peoria late Friday night led to an arrest after officers responded to a break-in along the 7700 block of N. Pioneer Lane.
According to the Peoria Police Department, officers were dispatched around 8:43 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, after receiving a report of a burglary in progress at Bump Health Inc. When officers arrived, they found a broken window on the east side of the building. Police say a man, identified as 25-year-old Kerington K. Johnson, was allegedly seen exiting the building moments later.
Johnson was detained without incident. During a search, officers reportedly recovered multiple items Johnson had allegedly attempted to remove from the business. Police also located burglary tools near a bicycle believed to belong to Johnson.
According to investigators, Johnson was arrested and charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, Criminal Damage to Property, and Obstructing an Officer. He was transported to the Peoria County Jail following the arrest. No injuries were reported at the scene, and police did not indicate whether additional suspects were involved.
