The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Flash Flood Warning for the area, urging residents to seek higher ground immediately and to stay off all roads. The urgent message is clear: do not attempt to travel through flooded areas.
The impacts are concentrated in and around the Washington and South Strabane areas, where rapid rainfall has overwhelmed local infrastructure. First responders are actively working to reach those in need, but conditions are extremely dangerous. Residents in low-lying areas are advised to move to the highest level of their homes and call 911 if they need assistance.
