Pennsylvania Police Seek Suspect in Cow and Horse Shootings in Lancaster County

Lancaster, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the shooting deaths of three cows and the injury of a horse in Lancaster County, seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect.

The animals were discovered on March 15, 2025, around 11:10 a.m. in two separate locations in the southeastern part of the county. According to authorities, two cows were shot at the 100 block of School House Road near Georgetown Road in Colerain Township. Their owner found them dead the following morning.

Investigators believe the same suspect traveled approximately seven miles to the 500 block of South Vintage Road in Sadsbury Township, where a horse and another cow were shot. The cow did not survive, but the horse lived.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact PSP Lancaster Station at (717) 299-7650 or submit a tip online. A cash reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
