Valley View, PA – A $5,000 cash reward is being offered for information that could solve the nearly 49-year-old disappearance of Randall Brosius, who went missing from Valley View in 1977.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop H – Harrisburg, Brosius was 22 when he was last seen driving east on Route 209 in Williamstown, Dauphin County. He had reportedly just left the parking lot of Mace’s Blue Fountain Motel in the company of two men from Florida — Kenneth H. Lenker and Richard Green. The case remains unsolved, and investigators are urging anyone with knowledge to come forward.

Brosius’ disappearance occurred shortly after his parents allegedly received threatening phone calls during Christmas 1976. The caller demanded $500, claiming knowledge of Brosius’ supposed involvement in a large marijuana deal. The caller threatened violence unless the money was paid. Brosius’ mother reportedly brought the money to a meeting point in Williamstown, but no one showed.

Lenker and Green were later located in Cocoa, Florida. However, neither was arrested in connection with Brosius’ disappearance. Brosius’ mother said her son knew the two men but did not consider them friends.

At the time he vanished, Brosius was wearing a black Navy peacoat, jeans, and black zippered Wellington boots. He had diabetes and was dependent on insulin, but none was found with him. He had a noticeable limp from a previous leg injury and a mangled finger.
