Pittsburgh, PA – Pittsburgh residents can expect a mild and sunny Memorial Day as odds climb for high temperatures reaching 70 degrees or higher across western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio.
According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, the Steel City has a 72% chance of seeing 70-degree warmth on Monday. Morgantown, West Virginia shares that probability, while areas farther west like Wheeling, Columbus, and Chillicothe, Ohio see chances exceed 85%. Akron, Canton, and Clarion remain less certain, with odds hovering near 50%.
Light winds, partly sunny skies, and a dry pattern will help make Monday one of the most pleasant days of the week, especially after recent cooler, cloudier weather. Communities including Cranberry Township, Uniontown, and Altoona can expect similar conditions, though temperatures there are less likely to crack 70.
Travelers heading out for parades, barbecues, or cemetery visits should still pack layers in case of lingering morning chill, but no rain is expected to interrupt outdoor plans.
Temperatures will cool again midweek, so Monday’s warmth may be short-lived. The National Weather Service will issue updated outlooks through the weekend.
