Harrisburg, PA – The Mid-Atlantic region will experience dry and sunny conditions through Wednesday before a cold front moves in, bringing rain on Thursday and Friday.

According to the US National Weather Service Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center, the weather will remain calm and clear for much of the region, including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware, through midweek. However, a shift in conditions is expected as a cold front advances from the west, bringing measurable rainfall beginning Thursday morning.

Forecast models indicate that precipitation levels will range from 0.25 to 0.75 inches across the Mid-Atlantic area. While the rain is not expected to cause widespread flooding, localized areas may experience minor pooling on roadways and reduced visibility during peak travel hours.

Residents are advised to take advantage of the dry weather early in the week before conditions change. Drivers should prepare for wet roadways on Thursday and Friday and allow extra travel time during commutes.

The upcoming rainfall follows a period of relatively mild and dry weather, which has allowed for favorable travel and outdoor conditions. Updates on potential weather impacts will continue to be provided by the National Weather Service as the system develops.
