Birmingham, AL – A low risk for severe storms is expected across northwest and central Alabama on Wednesday, with the potential for damaging winds and hail.

According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, storms are forecasted to develop from 2 p.m. Wednesday through midnight, bringing wind gusts up to 60 mph and large hail up to a quarter in size. Areas such as Birmingham, Jasper, and Gadsden may see the strongest impacts.
