Pennsylvania Cold Case: Hunters Found Victim in 1984 — Police Still Seek Justice Today

Northampton County, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are renewing calls for information in a decades-old homicide case, offering a $5,000 reward for tips that could help bring closure.

According to state police, investigators are continuing their review of the 1984 homicide of Walter “Ukie” Kupryczuk, whose body was discovered by hunters on an abandoned farm property along PA Route 611 in Upper Mount Bethel Township. Kupryczuk, 33 at the time, had been stabbed to death.

Police reports indicate Kupryczuk was a member of the Pagans Motorcycle Club and lived in Flemington, New Jersey. He worked as a machinist in Berkley Heights, New Jersey, and also had ties to the Newark area.

Authorities said the case remains under investigation by the Troop M Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit. Investigators emphasized that anyone with information—no matter how small—may help move the case forward.
