Indiana County, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are renewing efforts to solve a decades-old homicide with the offer of a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the 1985 killing of David John Alexander.
Alexander, 34, was found dead on September 23, 1985, near a wooded pond in Blacklick Township, Indiana County. He had been shot three times with a .357 Magnum, and his death was ruled a homicide.
According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop A – Indiana Station, Alexander was last seen a week earlier on September 16, 1985, leaving Skunk’s Bar in Blairsville Borough following a Monday Night Football game. His disappearance and subsequent death have remained unsolved for nearly 40 years.
Authorities are now asking for the public’s help in closing the case and are offering a cash reward for information that results in an arrest.
