Passenger Injured in Jasper County After Shooting on Seventh Street

Carthage, MO – A drive-by shooting on West Seventh Street in Jasper County left one passenger injured early Thursday morning. Deputies responded to the scene near the State Line at 4:15 a.m.

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle traveling eastbound pulled alongside another car and fired a handgun. One of the bullets struck a passenger in the second vehicle. The injured individual was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released further details about the victim’s condition. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
