Oregon – Rain and mountain snow will impact parts of the state on Friday, March 7, with unsettled weather continuing into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday morning will start with partly cloudy skies across much of Oregon, but rain will develop by the afternoon in western areas, including Eugene, Medford, and Portland. Higher elevations, such as the Cascades, will see snow as colder air moves in.

Portland will reach a high of 59°F on Friday before rain arrives in the evening. Eugene and Medford will see similar conditions, with highs in the mid-to-upper 50s. In Pendleton, skies will remain mostly sunny with a high near 57°F, though cooler weather is expected over the weekend.

Saturday brings mostly sunny skies across the state, with highs reaching the low 60s in some areas. However, another round of precipitation is expected late Sunday into Monday, with rain likely in the valleys and snow in the mountains.

Travelers should prepare for changing conditions, especially in higher elevations where snow levels will fluctuate. Roads like I-5 and Highway 26 may experience slick conditions as precipitation moves in.

Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday will bring a higher chance of rain statewide, with temperatures cooling into the low 50s. Plan accordingly for a wet start to the week.
