Eugene, OR – A Frost Advisory is in effect across the Willamette Valley from midnight to 9 a.m. Monday, with overnight temperatures expected to dip into the mid-30s in cities like Eugene, Springfield, and Junction City.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, clear skies and calm winds will allow temperatures to fall as low as 36°F by early Monday morning. Sensitive vegetation could be damaged if left unprotected. Residents are urged to cover outdoor plants and bring pets indoors.

In Portland, skies will gradually clear overnight with lows near 39°F. While slightly warmer than Eugene, patchy frost is still possible in low-lying and outlying areas. Calm winds and sunny days will return Tuesday and Wednesday, with daytime highs climbing into the low 70s.

Meanwhile in Southern Oregon, Medford will stay frost-free but cool, dipping to 39°F overnight. Northern California’s coast around Eureka will stay breezy and cloudy, with gusts near 25 mph tonight and slight rain chances returning by Thursday.

The Frost Advisory will expire by 9 a.m. Monday, but colder-than-normal mornings are expected to persist through midweek. Gardeners should stay alert for additional advisories as dry, clear nights continue.
