Creswell, OR – Deputies in Lane County are investigating a house fire that erupted early this morning on E. River Drive in Creswell. The fire was reported at around 7:20 a.m., fully engulfing a residence in the 33800 block of E. River Drive.
According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle belonging to Nicholas Rex Snyder, 32, was seen leaving the area around the time the fire started. Snyder’s car is a gray 2016 Toyota Corolla with Oregon license plate 311MXY.
Deputies had visited the residence the previous night due to a disturbance call. However, they were unable to make contact with Snyder, and his whereabouts were unknown at that time.
Detectives, assisted by the State Fire Marshal, are actively investigating the incident. Authorities have urged anyone with information on Snyder’s location to contact the Lane County Sheriff’s Office at 541-682-4141. They also advise the public not to approach Snyder if spotted, as he is considered a person of interest in this investigation.
