Oregon Crash Update: Driver Killed in Lane County Wreck Near Crow Late Monday

Crow, OR – A Lane County driver died in a single-vehicle crash Monday night near the rural community of Crow, south of Eugene.

According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and fire personnel responded at approximately 9:30 p.m. on March 31 to a crash on Territorial Road near Doane Road. A 2005 Chevy Malibu had reportedly left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree. The driver, who was the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until next of kin are notified.

The crash occurred on a stretch of road known for limited lighting and sharp turns, though officials have not confirmed whether road conditions or speed contributed to the incident. Motorists traveling in rural Lane County are urged to drive cautiously, especially after dark.
