La Grange, IL – A multi-vehicle crash in La Grange on Friday afternoon left one person dead and several others injured. The crash, which involved seven cars, took place at the intersection of Willow Springs Road and 47th Street at around 1:50 p.m.
The La Grange Police Department, assisted by the Major Case Assistance Team (M.C.A.T.) Crash Investigation Unit, responded to the scene. Upon arrival, authorities discovered that five individuals were transported to area hospitals, while one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending family notifications.
The La Grange Fire Department, along with other local agencies, assisted at the scene and provided care to the individuals involved.
The intersection of Willow Springs Road and 47th Street remains closed as authorities continue their investigation. Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to contact the La Grange Police Investigations Unit at (708) 579-2333.
