Omaha, Neb. – Light showers and patchy fog could make for tricky late-night driving across eastern Nebraska, with overnight lows dipping into the mid-60s. The National Weather Service says a 20–40% chance of rain will linger this evening before clouds break up by Tuesday morning.

According to the agency’s Omaha/Valley office, conditions will improve Tuesday, bringing mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s. Morning fog is likely to lift by mid-morning, making for mild and pleasant conditions across the metro and surrounding counties.

By Wednesday, a warm front will push daytime temperatures into the upper 80s and low 90s, with sunshine dominating much of the day. Thursday will bring the hottest stretch of the week, topping out in the mid-90s, with a slight chance of storms along the Nebraska–South Dakota border.

Drivers are urged to use caution late tonight and early Tuesday, particularly on rural highways where fog could reduce visibility. More heat and humidity are expected to linger into the weekend, with potential for scattered storms by Friday.
