Tulsa, OK – Residents across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas will see unseasonably warm and dry conditions stretch through the week ahead, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Tulsa.

According to the NWS update issued Saturday, September 27, maximum temperatures will hold in the mid-to-upper 80s each afternoon through Saturday, October 4. Tulsa is expected to top out at 86 to 87 degrees most days, with only minor day-to-day variation. Overnight lows will remain comfortable, generally in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Rain chances appear nearly nonexistent. The seven-day forecast shows a zero percent probability of precipitation through Friday, with only a slight 5 percent chance returning by next Saturday. That means dry conditions are likely to persist, further extending what forecasters note as “above normal temperatures” for this time of year.

The weather pattern is expected to impact much of Green Country, including Tulsa, Fort Smith, Fayetteville, Bartlesville, Muskogee, and surrounding communities. The lack of rainfall could raise concerns for worsening drought conditions if the dry stretch continues into October.

Residents should take precautions during outdoor activities, especially with warm afternoons and ongoing dry ground. The NWS will provide updates if fire weather concerns increase due to the persistent dryness.
