Oklahoma Braces for Dangerous Heat Wave: 105-109 Degrees Expected

Tulsa, OK – A significant heat wave is expected to impact Southeast Oklahoma and Western Arkansas this week, with heat indices climbing into the 105-109 degree range. The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a heat advisory from noon to 7 PM today.

According to the National Weather Service, residents should take extra precautions when outside. It is recommended to wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day. The advisory highlights the potential for heat-related illnesses, urging people to take air-conditioned breaks and stay vigilant about their health.

The extended forecast for Tulsa shows consistently high temperatures throughout the week. On Monday, temperatures will reach 96 degrees, while Tuesday and Wednesday will see highs of 99 degrees. Thursday will also be hot with a high of 99 degrees, but relief is expected on Friday, with temperatures dropping to 84 degrees and a 50% chance of rain.
