Oklahoma City, OK – The National Weather Service has issued excessive heat warnings across northeastern Oklahoma as dangerous temperatures intensify this weekend. Areas including Tulsa and Bartlesville could experience heat index values ranging from 110 to 113 degrees from noon until 9 p.m. today.

According to the National Weather Service, heat advisories extend south and east to areas where the heat index could reach up to 109 degrees. The extreme conditions are expected to persist through Monday, with Tulsa forecasted to hit 98 degrees for the next several days. The heat wave is projected to ease slightly by Tuesday, with temperatures in the mid-90s.

The risk of heat-related illnesses remains high, particularly on Monday when temperatures will peak under clear skies. Residents are urged to take frequent breaks indoors and stay hydrated. Oklahoma’s weather will stay in the mid-90s for much of the week, so heat precautions are advised. By Thursday, temperatures are expected to moderate to around 95 degrees, offering some relief.
