Cleveland, OH – Northeast Ohio is under a Winter Weather Advisory as lake effect snow continues to blanket the region. Affected areas include Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, and Lake Counties.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall between 1 to 3 inches is expected by 4 p.m. Wednesday. Hazardous road conditions may disrupt the morning and afternoon commutes. Officials recommend drivers exercise caution and plan for slower travel.

Geauga County, located southeast of Cleveland, remains under the same advisory until 10 a.m. Snowfall totals in this area are expected to reach up to 2 inches, with higher amounts near the county’s northern edge.

In Crawford County, Pennsylvania, snow accumulations between 1 to 3 inches are anticipated through 4 p.m. Northern areas of the county are expected to see the heaviest snowfall. Road conditions remain dangerous, particularly in shaded and untreated areas.

Transportation authorities urge residents to delay unnecessary travel and stay informed on roadway conditions via OHGO.com and 511PA.com. Reduced visibility and slick roads will likely persist throughout the day.

Residents are advised to keep an emergency kit in their vehicles, including blankets, water, and a flashlight. Those traveling should allow extra time to reach destinations safely.
