Pittsburgh, PA – Residents of Ohio and Western Pennsylvania should prepare for severe weather on Saturday. The US National Weather Service has issued a warning for potential tornadoes, damaging winds, and heavy downpours in the region.

According to the National Weather Service, the severe weather threat will be highest in the afternoon and evening. A Level 2 severe potential warning indicates increased confidence in severe storms. Besides tornadoes and strong winds, flash flooding is a significant concern due to anticipated heavy rainfall.

The weather service advises residents to stay informed about the latest forecasts and ensure they have multiple ways to receive weather warnings. Securing outdoor objects and staying indoors during severe weather is highly recommended. The forecast shows that while storms could start in the morning, the most severe conditions are expected later in the day.

On Saturday, temperatures will reach a high of 84°F, with a 70% chance of rain. Sunday’s forecast predicts partly sunny skies with a high of 81°F. Early next week, Monday and Tuesday are expected to be sunny, with highs of 76°F and 84°F, respectively. Mid-week, temperatures will rise to 92°F on Wednesday, followed by a chance of rain on Thursday with a high of 81°F.
