Wilmington, Ohio – Travelers across Ohio should enjoy a sunny Saturday, but rain could snarl Memorial Day plans and Tuesday commutes across Clinton County.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, clear skies and highs near 67°F are expected Saturday. But a shift begins Sunday afternoon, with scattered showers possible after 2 p.m. Monday becomes the main concern: a 50% chance of rain could impact parades, cookouts, and drivers along U.S. Route 68.

Residents are advised to plan around outdoor events and prep for wet conditions from late Sunday through Tuesday night. “Cloudy skies and intermittent showers could continue into Tuesday,” NWS meteorologists noted, with rain chances peaking at 60% by Tuesday morning.

Clinton County cities, including Wilmington, Sabina, and Blanchester, will see temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 60s through the long weekend. Though no severe weather is expected, the lingering showers may bring localized ponding on roadways.

Looking ahead to next week, daily shower chances persist through Wednesday. Wednesday and Thursday’s highs could reach into the low 70s, suggesting a more summer-like pattern by midweek. However, low pressure systems could keep skies unsettled.

Plan accordingly: stay off wet roads during peak rainfall Monday and Tuesday, and keep devices charged in case of minor outages from gusty winds.

Warnings remain in effect for scattered rainfall through Tuesday, with updated advisories possible depending on storm development.
