Ohio Valley – A significant weather system is moving toward the Ohio Valley, bringing widespread rainfall across the region. Forecasters expect most areas to receive between 0.25 and 1 inch of precipitation.
According to the US National Weather Service Ohio River Forecast Center, rain will spread across the Ohio River and Lake Erie drainage basins over the next two days. While most rivers will remain within their banks, minor flooding could develop if heavy rainfall occurs.
The lower Green River basin is already experiencing ongoing flooding from previous rains. Although no additional flooding is forecasted, officials warn that localized issues may arise if rainfall intensifies.
Residents should stay alert for updates and monitor local forecasts. If heavy rain develops, low-lying areas and flood-prone regions could see rising water levels.
