Grove City, OH – A semi truck overturned Tuesday morning in Grove City, prompting multiple ramp closures and significant traffic delays throughout the area.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred near the interchange of Interstate 71 and Interstate 270, resulting in the closure of several key ramps. As of Tuesday morning, the following routes remain closed:
- I-71 North to I-270 East ramp
- I-71 South to I-270 East ramp
- I-71 South split from I-270 to Stringtown Road
- I-71 South to I-270 East/West median access
Authorities are urging drivers to avoid the area, seek alternate routes, and remain alert for emergency crews working at the scene. It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries related to the crash or how long the closures are expected to remain in effect.
Traffic congestion is expected to be heavy during peak morning and afternoon travel hours, and law enforcement is asking commuters to plan ahead.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released additional details about what caused the semi to overturn, and crews are actively working to remove the vehicle and clear the impacted ramps.
