Ohio Roads to Ice Over Tonight: Snow Showers and Freezing Temps Ahead

Wilmington, OH – Drivers across Ohio should prepare for hazardous travel tonight as temperatures drop into the single digits, creating icy conditions on local roadways. Affected areas include I-71 and US-68, where black ice could form on bridges and overpasses.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered snow showers will persist through the evening, followed by flurries before midnight. Lows tonight are expected to reach 7°F, with wind chills near -1°F. Motorists are urged to reduce speed and exercise caution, especially on untreated surfaces.

Friday brings a slight reprieve with mostly sunny skies and highs near 20°F. However, nighttime lows will again dip to 10°F.

Looking ahead, Saturday offers slightly warmer conditions, with highs in the mid-30s, though clouds will dominate the skies. Sunday continues the warming trend with a high near 33°F.
