Columbus, OH – As Ohio braces for extreme heat next week, cooling centers are opening across the state to provide relief for residents.
According to the Ohio Emergency Management Agency, high temperatures are forecasted from June 17 to June 22, prompting the activation of numerous cooling centers. Facilities in Preble, Warren, and other counties will operate throughout the week, offering a refuge from the anticipated heat wave. The National Weather Service predicts temperatures to reach the mid to upper 90s, with heat indices potentially exceeding 100 degrees.
