Wilmington, OH – After a warm Monday, a strong cold front will sweep through Ohio overnight, bringing a sharp temperature drop and rain chances by Tuesday. Highs will plummet from near 60 degrees Monday to the low 40s Tuesday, with overnight lows dipping close to freezing.

According to the National Weather Service, patchy rain may develop late Monday night, increasing into Tuesday evening. Winds will shift out of the northeast at 8-10 mph, adding to the chill.

By Wednesday, steady rain is expected, with a 70% chance of precipitation in the afternoon. Thunderstorms are possible Wednesday night as temperatures hold in the low 40s. Rain will continue into Thursday before giving way to drier but colder conditions.

Drivers should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility during peak rainfall periods. If traveling on I-71 or U.S. 68, allow extra time and check road conditions.

Looking ahead, temperatures will remain below average, with highs struggling to reach the 50s. Expect mostly sunny but chilly conditions by Friday. Stay updated on changing forecasts and prepare for wet commutes.
