Cleveland, OH – Residents across northeast Ohio are preparing for dangerously cold conditions as an Extreme Cold Warning takes effect tonight. Temperatures will plummet to -10°F, with wind chills reaching as low as -30°F, posing a serious risk for frostbite and hypothermia.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Cleveland, the warning begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday and lasts until 10 a.m. Wednesday. The coldest period is expected overnight, with exposed skin potentially freezing in as little as 15 minutes. A Cold Weather Advisory remains in place until 7 p.m. Tuesday for conditions slightly less severe.
Residents are advised to limit outdoor exposure, wear multiple layers, and ensure pets are brought indoors. Frozen pipes are also a concern; running water at a trickle and insulating pipes can help prevent costly damage.

• Saturday: Snow possible, high near 32°F.
