Cincinnati, OH – A dense fog advisory has been issued across portions of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, with visibility dropping to a quarter mile or less in many areas. The advisory, which began late Tuesday, will remain in effect until 9 a.m. EST Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wilmington, the advisory affects central and southern Ohio, northern Kentucky, and parts of southeast Indiana, including major cities like Cincinnati, Dayton, and Lexington. In northeast and central Ohio, the advisory is extended until 10 a.m. EST due to continued low visibility conditions.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution by slowing down, using low-beam headlights, and leaving extra distance between vehicles. The foggy conditions are expected to clear gradually by mid-morning as temperatures rise.
Motorists commuting along interstates and local highways in the affected regions should anticipate delays and consider alternate travel plans where possible. Emergency services and weather authorities will continue monitoring the situation closely.
