According to the National Weather Service, teams will be conducting storm damage surveys over the coming days to confirm tornado activity. The severe weather left a trail of destruction, prompting an extensive emergency response.
In Manhattan, IL, first responders and emergency teams received 40 calls for service. Despite the significant damage, no injuries to civilians or firefighters have been reported. Several homes were significantly damaged by fallen trees in the Ranch Oaks Subdivision, and residents were left without power for an extended period.
