Tulsa, OK – Southeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas are bracing for a slight chance of rain starting Wednesday, as remnants of Tropical Storm Francine move through the region. Residents should prepare for potentially wet conditions midweek, with cooler temperatures on Thursday and Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, the highest chance of rain will develop between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, with a 20% likelihood of precipitation. The storm’s remnants may graze southeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas, causing temperatures to drop slightly below 80 degrees by Thursday.

Temperatures are expected to stay near average for this time of year, though rain may lead to isolated cooling across the region. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather reports and take precautions in case of sudden downpours. Localized flooding is not expected but could occur in areas with poor drainage.

The rest of the week is predicted to be mostly dry, with slightly warmer conditions returning over the weekend.
