Green Bay, WI – Spotty snow showers are expected to develop across northern Wisconsin Saturday night, creating potentially hazardous driving conditions in some areas. While snowfall will be light, icy patches could form on roadways, especially in the Northwoods and areas near the Upper Peninsula border.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, scattered flurries will continue throughout Saturday, with mostly cloudy skies and highs near 42 degrees. A wintry mix is forecast to develop Sunday night into early Monday morning, particularly impacting central and northern Wisconsin. Temperatures will dip into the lower 30s, increasing the chance of slick spots on untreated roads.
Drivers traveling through highways like US-41 or rural northern roads should exercise caution, especially overnight when icy conditions are most likely. Anyone planning early Monday commutes should check road conditions before heading out. Gusty winds up to 15 mph may also reduce visibility.
The week ahead will bring colder air to the region. Highs will drop to 31 degrees by Tuesday, with overnight lows plunging into the teens. Tuesday night could bring additional snow flurries, followed by partly sunny but frigid conditions midweek. Wednesday’s high is expected to reach just 23 degrees.
Residents should prepare for colder temperatures by ensuring vehicles are winter-ready and dressing in layers for outdoor activities. Watch for updated forecasts as conditions evolve, especially if travel is planned.
