Cleveland, OH – Frigid conditions and snow showers will continue to grip northeast Ohio this week, creating challenges for commuters and residents. Light snow is forecast to persist through Tuesday, with temperatures struggling to rise above the mid-20s. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph, making travel hazardous, especially along major routes like I-90.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday night’s lows will dip to 22 degrees, with snow accumulations expected to remain below one inch. Blustery winds from the northeast will intensify, leading to wind chills as low as 18 degrees. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds on icy roadways and allow extra time for travel.

Tuesday will bring a slight break in snow showers during the day, though conditions remain cold and cloudy. Highs will reach only 26 degrees, with winds from the north-northeast at 15-17 mph. Snow showers are likely to resume by evening, with another half-inch possible by Wednesday morning.

Looking ahead, Wednesday offers little relief as temperatures hover in the mid-20s. Snow showers will continue in the morning but taper off by the afternoon. Overnight lows will plummet to 17 degrees. By Thursday, the forecast calls for mostly sunny skies but temperatures will remain well below freezing, topping out at 25 degrees.

Residents should monitor forecasts and prepare for potential disruptions. Snow and ice accumulation could impact travel, especially during rush hours. Ensure vehicles are winter-ready and stocked with emergency supplies.
