Portland, ME – Dry weather is settling in across Maine today, bringing improving road conditions and a steady warming trend that will last through at least Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service in Gray, high temperatures will climb from the upper 40s and low 50s Friday into the upper 50s and near 60 degrees by Sunday and Monday. Overnight lows will remain cool, dipping into the upper 20s to mid-30s across interior مناطق like Berlin and Rangeley, while coastal cities like Portland and Portsmouth stay closer to the mid to upper 30s.
Cities including Augusta, Lewiston, and Concord will see daytime highs consistently between 56 and 60 degrees through early next week. No widespread rain is expected during this stretch, allowing for dry pavement along major routes like I-95, I-295, and U.S. Route 1.
The lack of precipitation will support outdoor activities and travel, though chilly mornings may lead to patchy frost in northern valleys. Drivers during early morning hours should remain alert for reduced visibility in low-lying areas.
Dry conditions are expected to hold through Tuesday, with the next chance for more widespread showers arriving closer to midweek. Updates may shift timing slightly as that system approaches.
