Northern Minnesota Forecast: Showers and Cooler Temps Expected Midweek

Duluth, MN – Northern Minnesota residents can expect a mix of weather conditions this week, with the potential for showers and thunderstorms today, followed by a cooling trend midweek. The National Weather Service in Duluth forecasts a 20-40% chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into the evening, primarily affecting central to northern Minnesota.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures today will range from a high of 69 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit. The showers are expected to clear by Wednesday, giving way to partly to mostly sunny skies with temperatures dropping to lows between 45 and 53 degrees and highs from 69 to 74 degrees.

Thursday’s weather will be mostly sunny, with temperatures rising slightly, ranging from 75 to 79 degrees for the high and 45 to 54 degrees for the low. This warming trend will continue into Friday, which is expected to be partly to mostly sunny with highs between 77 and 82 degrees and lows from 49 to 59 degrees.

The weekend promises even warmer conditions. Saturday and Sunday are forecasted to have partly sunny skies with highs reaching up to 83 degrees on Saturday and a bit cooler on Sunday, around 78 degrees.
