The most significant chance for severe weather will occur late Monday into Monday night, where afternoon heat indices could surpass 100 degrees, particularly on Monday.
According to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana, the forecast predicts highs ranging from 86 to 89 degrees today, with a 20% to 50% chance of storms tonight. Sunday’s weather will remain hot and humid, with highs between 86 to 90 degrees and a 30% to 40% chance of strong storms.
On Monday, the temperature will peak at 89 to 92 degrees, with continued high humidity and a 20% chance of severe storms. Tuesday will see slightly lower temperatures, ranging from 83 to 90 degrees, but still very warm with a 50% chance of storms. The weather will begin to cool on Wednesday, with showers expected to end and temperatures dropping to highs between 76 to 80 degrees.
The latter part of the week will bring relief from the heat, with Thursday’s highs expected to be 74 to 76 degrees and Friday’s temperatures remaining pleasant at 77 to 79 degrees.
