South Bend, IN – A weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service warns of snowfall impacting northern Indiana and southern Michigan late Thursday night into Friday morning, potentially affecting the Friday morning commute.
According to the National Weather Service, snow will move west to east starting Thursday night and continue through Friday morning. Accumulations of about 1 inch are expected across most areas, with totals nearing 2 inches in areas near and north of South Bend.
While snowfall amounts are modest, even light accumulation can create hazardous road conditions. Drivers are urged to allow extra time for travel Friday morning and exercise caution on potentially slick roads.
