Northern Indiana Traffic Alert: U.S. 20, I-65, and U.S. 41 Closed Due to Serious Crashes Thursday Afternoon

Northern Indiana – Multiple serious crashes have led to significant road closures in La Porte, Lake, and Newton counties this afternoon. Motorists are urged to avoid these areas as crews work to clear the incidents.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the following closures are in effect:

• All lanes of U.S. 20 are closed at Fail Road in La Porte County due to a crash.
• Northbound lanes of I-65 are shut down at mile marker 238, located between State Road 10 and State Road 2 in Lake County.
• All lanes of U.S. 41 are closed at State Road 16 in Newton County.

INDOT is advising travelers to seek alternate routes and stay updated by checking traffic conditions on 511in.org.
