Northern Indiana – Rain showers are set to impact Northern Indiana tonight, continuing into Thursday morning, as a low-pressure system brings up to 0.80 inches of rainfall to the region. Commuters should plan for potentially slick road conditions and reduced visibility during peak travel hours. High temperatures will hold in the mid-50s, with lows tonight around 47 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is likely to develop late tonight and persist through much of Thursday morning, tapering off by midday. Southeast winds are expected at 10 to 15 mph, shifting westward by the afternoon. Thursday night will see lows drop to around 43 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, with only a slight chance of lingering showers.

Looking ahead, Friday and Saturday are forecasted to be drier, with highs around 55 degrees. While skies will remain mostly cloudy, calm conditions are expected to return, allowing for seasonably mild temperatures over the weekend. By Sunday, there’s a 40% chance of scattered showers, and highs may approach 59 degrees.

Drivers in Northern Indiana should remain cautious, particularly along major routes like I-69 and I-80, as roads may become slippery from the overnight rain. With additional showers potentially affecting Sunday and Monday, residents should keep an umbrella handy and stay updated on changing conditions.
