High waves and life-threatening currents are forecasted for Berrien, MI, and LaPorte, IN, with wave heights reaching 3-5 feet and northeast winds gusting up to 20 MPH. Those planning to visit the beaches are urged to stay out of the water and avoid piers.
Thursday’s weather will feature cooler lakeside temperatures with highs between 74-79°F and lows from 57-62°F. Friday will be slightly warmer with highs from 79-85°F and lows between 66-71°F. Saturday brings a significant change with a high of 82-86°F and potential severe storms by afternoon.
