Cass County, MI Drug Bust: 4 Arrested After Meth Found

Cass County, MI – Four people were arrested after authorities executing a search warrant at a Dowagiac home allegedly discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia Monday night.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed the search warrant around 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, in the 100 block of Halstead Street in Dowagiac. Sheriff’s deputies, K-9 Juno, Dowagiac police and Michigan State Police assisted with the operation.

Detectives reported finding methamphetamine and multiple items of drug paraphernalia while searching the residence.

Authorities said a 41-year-old woman was arrested on outstanding warrants. A 51-year-old man was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.

A 37-year-old man was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine as well as resisting and obstructing police, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

A fourth suspect, a 38-year-old man, was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

Authorities did not release the names of the four people, saying their identities were being withheld pending arraignment in 4th District Court.

The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing. No additional information about the amount of suspected methamphetamine recovered or other evidence seized was included in the announcement.

Dowagiac is located in Cass County in southwestern Michigan, northeast of South Bend, Indiana.
