Flagstaff, AZ – Snow showers will sweep through Northern Arizona on Saturday, with the most active period in the afternoon. Drivers and outdoor enthusiasts should plan for slick conditions and colder temperatures.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall will primarily affect areas above 5,000 feet, including Flagstaff and stretches of I-40. While accumulation is expected to be light—ranging from a trace to two inches—roads and sidewalks could become icy, particularly during high traffic hours. Officials urge drivers to slow down, use caution on untreated surfaces, and dress for the cold if venturing outdoors.

Saturday’s high in Flagstaff will hover near 40°F, with temperatures dipping to 18°F overnight as skies clear. The chance of snow diminishes by evening, paving the way for sunny conditions on Sunday. Sunday’s high is forecast at 44°F, with calm winds from the northeast and a low of 18°F overnight.

Looking ahead, the week will bring sunny, dry weather with warming temperatures. Monday and Tuesday will feature highs in the mid-to-upper 40s, while Wednesday climbs to a milder 52°F under clear skies. Overnight lows will remain chilly, dipping into the upper teens to mid-20s throughout the week.

While the snow may not significantly disrupt travel, those heading through Flagstaff or nearby elevations should be prepared for brief delays and ensure their vehicles are equipped for winter conditions.
