Flagstaff, AZ – Heavy rainfall inundated the St. Johns area on Sunday evening as thunderstorms developed and continued to “train” over the same locations. The US National Weather Service in Flagstaff reported that radar estimates show between 2.00” and 3.75” of rain fell. According to St. Johns law enforcement, multiple homes experienced flooding and several streets were underwater.
Residents are advised to use caution in the area tonight and avoid floodwaters, as it can be especially difficult to recognize flooding at night. Reports from the area suggest the community is working to address the immediate impact of the floods.
