Huntsville, Alabama – Drivers in northern Alabama, especially east of the I-65 corridor, could face reduced visibility early Saturday morning as patchy fog develops just before daybreak.

According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, calm winds and clear skies will allow temperatures to dip into the lower 50s east of I-65, with mid to upper 50s elsewhere—ideal conditions for fog formation. While not widespread, localized fog pockets could create sudden visibility drops on rural roads, especially in valleys or near bodies of water.

Motorists heading out early should allow extra travel time and use low-beam headlights—not high beams—for better visibility. The NWS also urges drivers to slow down and remain cautious on elevated or winding roadways where fog tends to linger.

The fog is expected to lift shortly after sunrise Saturday, giving way to continued clear and cool conditions. No additional advisories are in place at this time, but drivers are encouraged to monitor updates from the NWS Huntsville for any overnight changes.
