Fort Worth, Texas – Hot, sticky air returns across North and Central Texas as highs push into the 90s and humidity keeps conditions oppressive through midweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, a brief 20% chance of thunderstorms is possible Monday across the region, but the bigger story is the heat. Highs will range from 88°F in Palestine to 94°F in Dallas-Fort Worth, with overnight lows barely dipping below the mid-70s. Tuesday and Wednesday will remain dry and sunny, with similar daytime highs and continued humidity.
Cities like Waco, Temple, and Killeen will see highs near 93°F by Wednesday, while Sherman and Denison track close behind. Minor relief is expected overnight, but little wind and persistent humidity may keep it feeling warmer than the thermometer suggests.
Texans should limit outdoor activity during the afternoon, stay hydrated, and ensure pets and elderly neighbors have access to cooling. With little rain expected, lawns and vegetation may begin to dry out quickly.
Though no advisories are currently in effect, the National Weather Service will continue to monitor for heat alerts if conditions worsen later this week.
