North Dakota Highway 1 Motorcycle Crash Leaves Driver in Critical Condition

Nelson County, ND – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident on ND Highway 1 on Sunday. The individual, identified as Driver 1 in the initial report, was traveling northbound on a 2000 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic Motorcycle when he lost control and overturned the vehicle. The reasons for the accident are currently unknown.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. As a result, he was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders transported Driver 1 by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks for medical treatment. The exact nature of the injuries has not been disclosed.

The name of the injured motorcyclist will be released at a later date pending notification of family members. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
