Milnor, ND – A Fargo man was critically injured in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 13 near Milnor. The crash occurred after a Nissan Altima tried to pass another car on Sunday.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a Toyota Avalon and GMC Terrain were both traveling eastbound when the Nissan, driven by a 39-year-old Fargo man, sideswiped the Toyota. This caused the Nissan to rotate, and it was then struck by the GMC in a “T-bone” collision. The Nissan caught fire, and bystanders rescued the driver.
Emergency responders transported the Nissan driver to Lisbon Hospital, where he was then flown to Fargo’s Sanford Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The GMC driver, a 28-year-old Milnor woman, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Both the GMC driver and her passenger, a young child, were taken to Sanford Hospital for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Authorities have not released any details about charges pending further review.
