North Dakota DUI Crash: Driver and Child Ejected on Highway 83

North Dakota, US – A vehicle crash on US Highway 83 left two people injured after the driver overcorrected and overturned the vehicle in the west ditch. The incident occurred near mile marker 94 on Monday. A 2022 Can-Am Defender, driven by a 43-year-old, was traveling south when the vehicle veered off course.

The driver and a 9-year-old boy were ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. The child suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A 7-year-old girl, also in the vehicle, was not ejected but sustained minor injuries. All were transported to Sanford Bismarck for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that no seat belts or helmets were used at the time of the crash. The driver faces DUI charges with a minor present. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the names of the juveniles involved will not be released. The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
