Pembina County, ND – A tragic motorcycle crash in Pembina County claimed the life of a passenger when a deer ran onto the road. The accident occurred on County Road 4, about a quarter-mile south of County Road 1.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist struck the deer, causing the passenger to be thrown from the bike. The motorcyclist lost control, veered into the east ditch, and became trapped under the motorcycle. Neither the motorcyclist nor the passenger was wearing a helmet.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier with injuries. Sadly, the passenger died at the scene. The names of those involved will be released later.
