Raleigh, NC – Central North Carolina is getting a welcome break from the recent humidity Tuesday, with comfortable air, afternoon sunshine, and cooler overnight temperatures making for one of the more pleasant days of the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, morning clouds will gradually clear through the day, allowing for increasing sunshine during the afternoon. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid- to upper 80s, making for warm but seasonable conditions.

Forecasters say the biggest change will be the noticeably lower humidity, creating more comfortable conditions for outdoor activities compared with recent days.

Tonight will remain mostly clear with overnight lows dropping into the low to mid-60s, offering many communities their coolest night in several days. Expected low temperatures will range from 63 to 68 degrees across central North Carolina.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for highs generally between 84 and 89 degrees, with light winds and dry weather expected throughout the day.

Residents looking to spend time outside will find favorable conditions for yard work, exercise, or other outdoor plans, especially during the morning and evening hours when temperatures are at their most comfortable.

While Tuesday brings a refreshing break, the pattern is expected to become warmer and more humid again later this week as typical summer conditions gradually return.
